We at StormDriver would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you, especially if you are viewing this very first blog post on the official StormDriver website. You must be wondering what the StormDriver is. Please read on.
It’s time to move on to the next level of social media and networking interaction. Whatever that has happened until now is awesome, of course – the Internet turned our world into a globally connected city and social media turned us into conversation addicts. It seems millions of people are talking to each other and sharing useful information with each other all the time. But are we really sharing and interacting freely? Are we not bound by the rules and decisions of the site owners? And why should we really have to be “allowed” to only talk on the sites using system they have provided? Why can we not talk, share and move around freely everywhere?
Enters StormDriver. Real action in real time. It is a “live and kicking” world that moves with you and around you. Once you start browsing through StormDriver you are no longer browsing alone. You’re always in the company of your friends and all those having similar interests. Confusing? Not exactly, once you get the hang of it.
StormDriver brings a sense of “instantaneousness” in your online interactions. StormDriver works on the principle of OWL: Open Web Layer. Everything is out in the open when you use StormDriver to browse the Internet. Once you are logged in you can immediately see what your friends are doing on the Internet, what cool places they are visiting and what sort of interactions they are having with your other friends as well as with strangers. It is as real-time as it can get.
And it’s not just your friends. You can know what website your favorite celebrities, or people you admire, are visiting. You can immediately invite your other friends to the same website and exchange ideas with them. You can relate other websites to this website and you can also attach attributes (tags) to it, so that it is easier for the others to find it for those attributes (something like “just visited by Justin Timberlake”).
Stay tuned… this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Great job on the website, you may not be getting many visitors yet, but that doesn’t matter it looks good, has a great approach to things, and a great name. I will not like this on facebook yet, but I will if I like stormdriver when it comes out. -Joel (Litwatr)
Great! Looking forward to hear your response when we are out. If you have not done yet go to StormDriver.com and register for our invite-only alpha. We have hundreds of alpha-testers already so be sure to join them to get a first glimpse into StormDriver and the Open Web Layer.
Hei, spennende konsept.
This reads as really exciting and “free” in the unrestricted sense – yet it is low on detail – perhaps I should expect that – I’ll stay tuned, linked and interested to see what transpires!
